Spence Pryor, Chief Legal and Corporate Strategy Officer at Arkadios Capital, leads the firm’s legal and corporate strategy functions. For more than 25 years, Pryor has been a highly respected lawyer and trusted advisor to business and political leaders across the country. His deep experience at the intersection of law, business, and public policy enables him to work closely with Arkadios’s CEO and Founder, David Millican, to scale the business, support advisors, and strategically pursue growth opportunities.
In his role, Pryor oversees the firm’s legal operations, drives strategic initiatives, and advises on expansion across Arkadios’s national platform. He also plays a key role in strengthening the firm’s partnerships and enhancing its value proposition for independent financial advisors. Before joining the firm, Pryor served on the Arkadios Advisory Board.
Pryor joined Arkadios from Alston & Bird, a premier global law firm headquartered in Atlanta, where he built lasting relationships with influential business, civic, and political leaders. He was recognized as a “Client Service All-Star” by BTI Consulting Group, a leading measure of excellence in client service within the legal industry.
Earlier in his career, Pryor served as Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Justice Department in Washington, D.C., and also as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia where he prosecuted federal cases involving securities fraud and international terrorism. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a juris doctorate from the University of Georgia.
